Planting Seeds
One of my favorite things about quilters is their willingness to share ideas,
skills, and even fabric! Have you planted "quilting seeds" in anyone lately? Now is the time to interest the next generation, today's kids, teens, and young adults, in this wonderful art form. Open their eyes to the variety of pieces that can be created with fabric, needle, and thread. You'll find plenty of help from quilt shops, pattern books, and your favorite quilting magazine, all of whom are offering new fabrics and patterns aimed at this audience.
In this and every issue of Fabric Trends, you'll find projects in a variety of styles, sizes, skill levels, and colors, so there's sure to be something that appeals to every would-be quilter. We've also added three new ongoing features we hope you'll love. Ten Questions with... provides an up-close-and-personal glimpse into the life of a quilter.
