Pam used the raw-edge appliqué method from her latest book, Blended Borders, to demonstrate how much fun it is to design a quilt bursting with color and pizzazz! Field of Poppies is a scrappy project using large-scale and small-scale prints in simple pinwheel blocks. The large poppies from the collection's focus fabric soften the seam lines in addition to adding interest between the quilt’s center and borders. This blended border technique can give quilts a dramatic, three-dimensional effect.
